The Aleph and the Tav TODAY’S BREAD “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” – Revelation 22:13 TODAY’S WORD Praise God my dear friends in Christ. This verse above was lingering in my mind right from Monday; I did not exactly know what God was teaching until last night. I was reading my bible and doing some reference study over the internet, it is when God took to these words “Aleph” and “Tav”. “Aleph” and “Tav” are two Hebrew words; “Aleph” is the first word in Hebrew while “Tav” is the last word in Hebrew. Throughout the bible these two words have been used in so many places together, the English translators did not know how to translate this for it simply did not give any plain meaning. It’s like adding a word like “AZ” (First and Last Eng alphabets) in our normal sentence. So they simply avoided it, while the Hebrew bible still has these words. But later in the New Testament we have a revelation for this word. Jesus said in Revelation 22:13 that he is the Alpha and the Omega (First and Last letters of Greek). So similarly Aleph and Tav just gives a signature of Jesus wherever it is mentioned in the bible. Ok so now we know that “Aleph” and “Tav” are not just meaningless words but they represent and point to Jesus Christ. We have a revelation about Aleph and Tav, let’s see few verses in Hebrew having this words. I was amazed to see how well it points to Jesus. “They will look on me (Aleph Tav-Jesus Christ) whom they have pierced and mourn for him as for an only son.” – Zechariah 12:10 Right in the first verse of bible we have these words. “In the beginning God (Aleph Tav-Jesus Christ) created the heaven and the earth…” – Genesis 1:1 Not only this first verse in bible has this word, but even the last verse in bible has this very same Alehph, Tav printed in Hebrew. “The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Alepha and the Tav) be with you all. Amen.” - Revelation 22:21 John 5:39 says like this “You search the Scriptures because you think they give you eternal life. But the Scriptures point to me!” Yes my dear people in Christ, Bible is not just a book of stories. Bible is all about Jesus, it’s God’s album with the pictures of his son. If we seek him, he will show us him. Even Jesus taught the disciples of Emmaus as what was written about him in the Laws, Prophets and Psalms. May God fill us with the spirit to know more of his son. Amen Amen. PRAYER FOR TODAY Our Father, we thank you for this great day daddy. Father give us more wisdom to see you daily whenever we read bible, reveal us your son daddy. We desire to seek more of his beauty, we know there’s none who has seeked him has gone ashamed. We seek him daddy, show him more so that we will be strengthened always in this earth.
