The Aligarh Muslim University Officers Association has unanimously decided to donate one-day salary for relief and rehabilitation work of Muzaffarnagar riot victims. This decision was taken in the meeting of Executive Committee of the Association. Mr. SM Suroor Athar, Generally Secretary of the Association said that the collected will be deposited in AMU Relief fund. The Committee further decided to circulate a proforma in this regard for obtaining the consent of all the members of the association. Mr. Athar said that it was also decided that the term of the present association is coming to an end, so a general body meeting will be called in the second week of January to elect new Office bearers of the association for 2014-2016. The meeting was attended by Mr. M. Feeroz Khan, University Engineer, President, Mr. Md. Arifuddin Ahmed, Deputy Registrar, Vice-President, Mr. S. M. Suroor Athar, Deputy Registrar, General Secretary, Mr Masoodur Rahman, Deputy Finance Officer, Treasurer, Mr. Asif Fareed Siddiqui, Assistant Librarian, Joint Secretary, Dr. Ali Jafar Abedi, Medical Officer, Joint Secretary-II, Mr Arshad Mahmood, ADPE, Mr. Ch. Ahrarul Hasan, Assistant Librarian, Mr. Shahzad Husain, Assistant Controller.
