The Alturas Drum & Bugle Corps Showdown is an outreach program on youth development focused on encouraging high school students and elementary pupils to channel their talents and energy for cultural upliftment. The Showdown is the biggest and most prestigious drum and bugle corps competition in Visayas and Mindanao drawing tens of thousands of spectators. It is held at the CPG Sports Complex, Tagbilaran City, Bohol, every anniversary celebration of Alturas Supermarket in the last week of November. More than 2 million pesos are spent in the Showdown and the bulk of the gross proceeds will go directly to the beneficiaries, the Tagbilaran-By-Nite Foundation of the Bohol Chronicle Radio Corporation and Sunshine Home, an orphanage managed by the Catholic Womens League (CWL) and DSWD. credit info from: Alturas Company #25ENTRANCE
