The Ambassador of Finland visited Lagos on 1st-3rd July. This megacity of almost 20 million Nigerians is very attractive for Finnish companies too and Finpro has a trade office and Finland an Honorary Consulate there. Understanding this market, looking for business opportunities and finding new contacts is essential for our Embassy. The trip was highly successful and as usual during trade promoting visits the schedule was very busy. Her Excellency met Finnish companies present in Lagos, Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, PUNCH Magazine, Honorable Commissioner for Commerce and Industry Mrs. Shola Oworu, Honorable Commissioner for agriculture Mr. Gbolahan Lawal and visited the Honorary Consulate and Finpro office. Highlights were also dinners with representatives of Finnish companies and Finland- Nigerian Association.
