Wayne Spangeberg executed a perfect sacrifice bunt to advance the runners into scoring position. Shane singled, scoring Collin. The lead stayed with Cobras after the first, when it scored five runs on an RBI double by Reyes, two ground outs, and an RBI single by Doubek. The Angels tried to answer in the second. Rocco Albano led off with a walk and advanced to second on Chris Sebastian’s line drive single to left. Cobra pitcher J., Kalschid knuckled down and stuck out the next three batters to end the threat. The Cobras tacked on one more run in the second on back to back walks and a steal setting up 1st and 3rd with no outs. Shane struck out the next batter and Sean Garbarini nabbed a hot shot to third to retire the batter while Motiwalla scored just in front of the throw from Wayne to Chris. Sebastian Chica’s infield single leading off the third was all of the offense the Angels could muster in their half. The Cobras then put the game away with four runs in the third. J Gerwitz started the inning with a single, plating Reyes. That was followed up by D Sullivans single, scoring Doubek and Lorenzo. Sharp outfield play by Ayden Murray and Will Iuzzolino who flagged down hits in the gaps and hit their cutoff men helped to limit the damage. Rocco and Chris backed each other with 2-out walks in the fourth but they did not advance any further. Will Iuzzolino pitched shutdown ball after taking over in the fourth. After giving up a lead off walk he struck out two and retired the third batter on a grounder to short. In the top of the fifth, Ethan Sukoneck laced a single to right. Iuzzolino advanced him on a failed fielder’s choice. Chica’s sacrifice bunt was thrown into right and Ethan scored. Will shut down the Cobras in the fifth with the help of two circus catches by Mike Paladino on center. The Angels couldnt mount a charge in the 6th and the game ended 10-2.
