The Atos team of Isabelle LeBlanc (Head of Global SAP Solutions & SAP Sustainability) and Sven Oudkerk (Global Director Sustainability & Greenfield for MRS) on-site at the recent SAP FKOM in Barcelona where Atos had the possibility to showcase our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) vision. There Sven had the chance to participate in various mini Hackatons - so called brainstorm sessions with the aim of generating innovative ideas that help solve the challenges that social entrepreneurs face today. First on the list was FAIRLIEBT IN JYOTHI - a young fashion fair trade label which aims to empower young Indian women and guide them into a self-determined independent life by producing and selling fresh, sustainable and fair fashion. Here the task at hand was to create a low cost sales channel for Fairliebt. There was also REVE AUX LETTRES which develops tools that help improve literacy. Children are encouraged to read, think and write by sending stories by post limited only by their imagination eventually forming a complete sequence as the correspondence is picked up by the writers at Reve Aus Lettres and personalized with their tool. The challenge was to propose new business models for Reve Aus Lettres. All ideas are now being looked at by SAP for further development. The event gave Atos the perfect to opportunity to learn about SAP’s sustainability and “idea to performance initiatives”, and also the opportunity to further strengthen the partnership between Atos and SAP.
