The Aztec Hall of Fame selection committee had a tough time deciding on the first class, inducted 25 years ago today. The committee was headed by Dennis Wise, whose support and wisdom were behind the belated founding of the Hall. They finally agreed on 16 famous Aztecs for that initial honor. Alphabetically: Willie Buchanon, John Butler, Don Coryell, Fred Dryer, Gary Garrison, Laurel Brassey, Gene Littler, Haven Moses, Graig Nettles, C.E. Peterson, Milky Phelps, Art Preston, Arnie Robinson, Dennis Shaw, Brian Sipe and Willie Steele.
