The Bahrain International Badminton Academy (BIBA) in association with the New Millennium School, will conduct the GCC Open Junior badminton tournament on Friday, 31st January, 2014 at the NMS Kingdom Hall, Zinj, Bahrain. The tournament will be held in the following age categories. 1. Under 11 (Children born on or after 1st February, 2003) 2. Under 13 (Children born on or after 1st February, 2001 but before 31st January, 2003) 3. Under 15 (Children born on or after 1st February, 1999 but before 31st January, 2001) 4. Under 17 (Children born on or after 1st February, 1997 but before 31st January, 1999) 5. Under 19 (Children born on or after 1st February, 1995 but before 31st January, 1997) The following events will be held in each category 1. Boys Singles 2. Boys Doubles 3. Girls Singles 4. Girls Doubles Players resident in all GCC countries are eligible to participate. Players can take part in their age category only and not in higher age categories. Players may be required to provide proof of age, if required. Overseas players will have to arrange visas on their own. Entry fee is BD 2 for one event and BD 3 for both events. Trophies will be awarded to all Winners and Runners Up. Entries may be sent by email to ashley.bbsf@yahoo. Last date for receipt of entries is 27th January. Matches will start in the morning on 31st January and are expected to be completed by 8 pm, which will be followed by Presentation ceremony.
