The Baton with our friends the American Legion Oak Orchard Post 28… The hospitality shown by our friends at Post 28 and The Azalea Charity was again incredible - as last year our party were treated to drinks, BBQ and cheesecake the supply seemed endless and with good heart. I had my first smoke of any kind for 37 years when fellow SideXSide member Michael Shultz brought two superb specimens for us to have a victory smoke after the previous day’s efforts. During the evening we were treated to some of the best pipe music I have had the privilege to hear, Michael made a speech of thanks and presentations to some very hardworking people who really make the difference to our visit Stu Taylor, Mike Audette, Gunny Saucedo, Frank Lasch and Douglas Taggart - Eck Stewart from the Personnel Recovery Centre Edinburgh made similar presentations to the Azalea Charities, Frank Lasch and Douglas Taggart - two super guys that I always look forward to meeting.
