The Bible describes Christ as “The Word made flesh” (John 1,14). That is our fundamental objective today – the Bible expressed through us and in people, its words personified in human character. The Bible itself remains peerless among books, not only the best seller, but the most read. No book has ever affected the world like the Bible. We may be familiar with Edgar Allan Poe and some may read a Charles Dickens novel more than once, but hundreds of millions read the Bible every day. It gloriously touches generations yet unborn. I believe it and don’t argue about it. I rely upon its own built-in proof. It is a messenger carrying adequate credentials. It is self-authenticating. “It lives and abides forever”, said Peter (1Peter 1,23), and continues to exist because it is living truth. Only dead things need preserving fluid, not living things.
