The Bible tells us that we are to cast all of our cares to God in prayer, by making our requests known to God with an attitude of thanksgiving (Philippians 4:6). Then, as we do that, God acts. He imparts His peace. Our part is to voice our thanks to Him and cast our cares onto Him. We are to request what we need and then trust Him to meet our needs. His part is to provide all that is beneficial for our eternal good and to give us a dose of divine peace. God’s peace transforms how we think. It enables us to answer calamity with calm reason and understanding, to see order in the chaos, and to know the best direction to pursue. It releases us to walk with divine revelation and insight, almost as if we have a secret map for the way out of the problems that arise. God’s peace transforms how we feel. We answer fears with faith. We have an ability to speak with measured voice and without feeling threatened or frantic. We are able to give strength to others, rather than collapse into a puddle of weakness. We respond with assurance that not all is lost and there is much to be gained. We experience God’s presence with us, and His presence is an ally that is more powerful than any foe. God’s peace allows us to function to the maximum of our ability and beyond. It allows us to function in the ability that God imparts. THAT’S REAL LIVING!!!!!
