The Bureau of Meteorology advises there is a Severe Weather Warning for destructive winds for people in the South West forecast district. The Department of Fire and Emergency Services has warned people from Bunbury to Walpole, including Busselton and Margaret River and surrounding areas to be prepared for the dangerous conditions which is typical for this time of year but may damage homes and make travel dangerous. A strong cold front will move across south western parts of the state early on Wednesday morning. In isolated areas showers and thunderstorms may produce dangerous gusts in excess of 125 kilometres per hour which could cause significant damage or destruction to homes and property. The greatest risk of dangerous gusts will occur between midnight and 5am Wednesday morning. Strong and squally winds will continue through Wednesday afternoon before easing in the evening.
