The CCTV our neighbors have caught him coming down the street at 1:42am Sunday morning. He is seen again at 2:37am. In that hour he was in our home, and spent at least a portion of that time in our bedroom, where we were sleeping. I’m normally a light sleeper, but guess it is just as well I didnt wake up – hard to tell what he had in his pockets. All he took were the shorts I had been wearing the day before – which had my wallet, car key, house keys, a small amount of money, and a watch (sorry, babe). We were alerted to all this the next morning when some neighbors rang the bell to ask me to take a look at what were apparently my shorts left on some bushes just around the corner. He left the wallet fully intact, and the house keys – took the money, watch and car key. What he was doing that whole hour is hard to figure, and how long he was in our bedroom Id rather not dwell on. Turns out other neighbors have been robbed (including the ones with the CCTV), and the police are apparently not all that interested in doing much about it. For us, besides the seriously unsafe feeling, is the lesson learned – old dogs are not the best guard dogs.
