The Cardiology section at the White River Junction VA is proud to announce the creation of a Multi-modality Cardiovascular Program. The program provides access to standard cardiac imaging, as well as, advanced cardiovascular imaging including: 3D echocardiography, cardiac MRI and. in 2015, cardiac CT. Veterans now have access to state of the art technology in non-invasive cardiac imaging that can be used to diagnose and manage their cardiovascular disease. In addition, we recently began an innovative Cardiology Telehealth program that provides Veterans with access to specialized care locally, making it more convenient. We are excited about this program and look forward to providing Veterans residing in Northern New England with exceptional care in a timely, convenient manner. The Cardiology section now participates in clinical research trials that will allow Veterans access to new therapies and technologies. Our current trials are actively recruiting for patients: 1) with a history of high cholesterol presently taking a cholesterol medication and 2) with a history of heart failure and normal heart function.
