The Catholic Diocese of Arlington just hit 1,000 registrations for Risk Jesus, a huge event at the Hylton Memrial Chapel in Woodbridge Sept. 27. Conference organizers are asking us and all of you to join them in a novena for the events success. Risk Jesus Prayer Lord Jesus, You said, “Wherever two or three are gathered in My name, I am in their midst,” and so we join together in Your name in prayer, seeking Your grace and blessing on Risk Jesus. Together we ask: • Please use this event to enliven and deepen the faith and love of those who already eagerly follow You within Your Church. • Please use this event to inspire faithful Catholics to make You known to their families, their friends, and their acquaintances. • Please use this event to bring closer to Yourself those whose faith has become lukewarm and is in need of encouragement. • Please use this event to call to You anyone who is interested in the Church but needs the gift of courage to risk taking a step closer. • Please bless Bishop Loverde as he leads us in prayer during Risk Jesus and as he shepherds his flock in this diocese. • Please bless Father Longenecker, Jennifer Fulwiler, Father Puigbo, and Marie Miller, that their presentations and music will serve as vehicles of grace and inspiration to everyone who attends Risk Jesus. • Please bless all of the support staff, volunteers, caterers, exhibitors, and everyone who is helping to make Risk Jesus a renewing, prayerful day for everyone involved. We place all these petitions within Your Most Sacred Heart, and we entrust them to the care of Your Mother as we pray, Hail Mary… Amen.
