The Center for the Study of Anorexia and Bulimia presents their 2013-2014 Webinar Series for Professionals! Join CSAB for a webinar titled “Boys and Men with Eating Disorders: Strategies for Assessment and Engagement” with Douglas W. Bunnell, PhD, FAED, CEDS on December 20th from 12-1 PM EST. Douglas is the Chief Clinical Officer of the Monte Nido East Eating Disorder Programs. He was formerly Vice President and Director of Outpatient Clinical Services for The Renfrew Center. This webinar will review some of the unique aspects of boys and men with eating disorders. It will also address how the appreciation for male perspectives on psychotherapy, cultural and gender norms, and beliefs about eating disorders is critical for building collaboration and alliance. This presentation will conclude with a review of how therapist gender can influence the therapeutic relationship.
