The Centre of Excellence athletes steal the show again! Tukuni Badamundi coasted through to first place with few obstacles. However, Baidehi Majh had some fierce competition which required her to bring her A Game pushing her to excel and execute two new competition bests. Here are the champions receiving their 1st place awards at the University State competition held at Chikiti University. The girls faced two alternative journeys to secure a medal, however both reaching their final destination with #Gold It was a particularly inspiring moment for the girls as the one and only K.Ravi Kumar honoured the winners. A local hero famous for all the right reasons, achieving his dreams and receiving the highest accolade in the Commonwealth games #Weightlifting #GoldMedal. His achievements make him an excellent role model for all the young weightlifters who like Sir Kumar, have big dreams #DreamBig. Additionally, K.Ravi Kumar complimented Tukuni on her technique which provides Cormac Whelan with promising feedback that she will go on to be a great lifter in the future. The girls left the competition exhausted yet feeling inspired to have met someone so driven and motivational. These fantastic results give the girls a perfectly timed confidence boost for their next competition which is the biggest event in the weightlifting calendar #Nationals
