The Chinese are not our enemies, they have done us no wrong. There is a dishonest narrative coming out of Western media houses suggesting that the Chinese are somehow "colonising" Africa. These expressions of concern are not sincere but are a self-serving attempt to rouse anti-Chinese sentiment in Africa. The West wants to perpetuate its hegemony and unfair trade practices on this continent and feels threatened by the emergence of a Chinese alternative. They can no longer impose unfair conditions knowing that we have no option but to accept their unjust terms. It is for this reason that they feign moral concern at Chinese investment. The suggestion that the Chinese are colonising Africa is wholly dishonest. The Chinese have not overthrown any African government. They have not sponsored rebels to destabilise a lawfully elected authority as we see in the Congo & Syria. They have not forcibly imposed themselves on any African nation. Instead, they are here by invitation. We must remain mentally vigilant and weigh all that we hear on the scales of reason; without that, we are easily manipulated and made hate those who have done us no wrong.
