The Chipmunks (featuring CANNED HEAT!!! - No joking!!!): The Chipmunk Song: Christmas Dont Be Late. (Single from 1968)). Phew... Odd - very odd... But in an irresistibly charming way... I had to post this... I recently posted about British animated squeaky-voiced porcine duo - and kids T.V and record favourites - Pinky and Perky. That brought a mention of the similar sounding U.S chipmunk favourites - The Chipmunks... By chance, in a U.K daily newspaper yesterday there was a question on their readers questions page asking about odd musical collaborations - and this came up as one of the answers... Well... how could I resist posting this piece of wonderful weirdness..? Its fun anyway - and we are still within the Christmas holiday season.. The Chipmunks were not much hear of after this - it is rumoured in some circles that they are alive and well and living the hippie spiritual life in Kathmandu - as a result of their meeting with Canned Heat...
