The Christmas Spirit continues as Division F contributed $750 to Project Safe in Wheatland to assist families who have been affected by domestic violence. Casper Troopers Beran and Kirkman went Christmas shopping for six homeless children who otherwise may have not had much of anything for Christmas this year. Troopers were made aware of the plight of these children by the Natrona County School District. Casper Troopers met a representative of the N.C.S.D. at 9 p.m. last night and went to work buying clothes, toys, games, sippy cups and other gifts and essentials with money donated by the Wyoming Highway Patrol Association. While shopping at the west side Walmart in Casper, some store employees became aware of what the Troopers were doing for these children and asked if they could also donate to the cause. One Walmart employee donated fifty dollars of her own money to the childrens Christmas gifts. Without the generosity of Wyoming Highway Patrol Association members, donors, advertisers and other contributors, this would not have been possible.
