The Chuck E Cheese Horror Experience. The Power Is Always On. -Jordan Deardorff- A question, to start this experience off. Have you ever been in Chuck E Cheese, when everything is shut down? No? Its an interesting place. Very interesting, to say the least. My name, it isnt important nor should I give it away. If I give it away, I may have to spend time... behind the curtain. Every night, I have to turn off all the machines. Its quite a peaceful job, really. The kitchen is already managed. The lights in the dining area/show room are usually off. All I have to do is turn off all the video arcade machines... and lock the doors. I hate it, I hate it so much. See, when I lock the doors.. I have to lock the front and back. The front gets locked first... then I have to head out the back. But what you people dont seem to understand is, they taunt me. Not the co-workers. Not the things visible to my eye. But the things I know are there. The damn robotic animals, they always taunt me. Whats that? Youre confused arent you. The power is supposed to be off. Trust me, I know. It IS supposed to be off. But its one thing they never tell you. They dont go off. Theyre not supposed to make any sounds. Theyre supposed to fade out, but they dont. Ive only taken myself behind that damn curtain once, and Ill never do it again. It was around when I first started, it was my first night closing alone. No one had told me. Nobody. I turned off the power as I was supposed to. My last stop in the night was going to the cord that was linked to the Chuck E Cheese robotic crew. I was to unplug the cord, and make sure all power was out. I opened up the curtain, climbed onto the stage and I unplugged them. The eyes on the mouse slanted slut, and moved back. The arms fell down. It was all peaceful. I began to walk towards the exit door, when I heard a faint THE SHOW IS ABOUT TO BEGIN!. I was confused. I could have swore I unplugged them. I continue to walk back to the area, and as I thought. I did unplug the robotic crew. So what was the issue? The television sets? All turned off. The sound system? Turned off. So... how could this have been the issue? There was absolutely no way possible th- then I saw it. Out of the corner of Chuck-Es one eye, while it was still slanted, I saw the pupil move from being rolled inside his head to looking right at me. Only that one damn eye. Then the rest of the creatures turned towards me. Out of no where, laughter from the others sparked from them, manically. Ive never heard their laughter in that form. Then, they all stopped. Just like that. I wanted to leave, but I couldnt move. I had no idea what to think of this. Out of no where, Chuck E looked towards me. His eyes stayed crooked, but then his arms bounced up and down. The show will NEVER end. He then chuckled, and so did the rest of the team. He then muttered out my name. I couldnt take any more. That was the breaking point. I ran out and locked the door behind me. Where could I go? The police? Theyd think I was insane. The last person who closed told me, it was never solved. It was the reason he left. He told me they were harmless, but they would never stop taunting you. And he was right. To this day, every time I close the store, I have to walk by the damn curtains. And all I hear is my name, followed by The show is about to begin! followed by that same maniacal laughter. So, if you ever want to take a strangers advice? When the curtain closes at Chuck E Cheese for breaks, dont open them. For the love of God, do not open them. Theyll recognize you. Theyll never forget you. And youll never forget them. Benjamin Kitty
