The City of Farmington, Arkansas is taking applications for Chief Building/Code Enforcement Official. Duties will include, but are not limited to: inspection of new construction at various stages, as well as other permitted construction for compliance with codes, ordinances, standard engineering practices, and related regulatory practices. Supervises all code enforcement and public nuisance issues. Takes care of all signage enforcement and permitting. Position requires graduation from high school and seven (7) years of experience in inspection or the construction trades, at least three (3) of which must have been in a supervisory position, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a valid Arkansas Driver License; must be an ICC certified Plans Examiner and Certified Building Inspector. Must also have state required certifications for HVACR & Plumbing. Must be proficient in the use of a personal computer and other related software programs.
