The Daily IPOD "Walk Softly and Carry a Marley Joint" ...The "Terrace Conspiracy" did not know it was bad form to defile the office of the leader of the free world. They did know not to fire up a joint standing on campus while the P-rade was gathering together, everyone readying for the festivities to begin. It therefore became necessary, if not sufficient, to take a few tokes back at the club before heading onto campus. Before wearing the 1974 class glasses, noses, and moustaches, the group of yellow shirts peaceably assembled in the large sunken sitting room down a few short steps to the right of the Terrace Club entrance. With just the right amount of transcendent reverence, the smoke from seven or eight "big bomber"joints was inhaled and held even more deeply, into expanded lungs. Those who were about to become stoned saluted a large stuffed moose-head facing the smokers from the front wall. A red and green Christmas Tree ornament hung from its left antler without care. Joe Cebellum remembered to notice that a roach, that very tasty end of a marijuana cigarette, dangled from the mouth of the moose as it had for almost two school years. It is never a good idea to look a gift moose in the mouth. Nevertheless the stuffed presence which presides over the room was relieved of that bit of sacrilege. Three Conspirators took short last puffs from the stub of resin-stained rolling paper. Throughout the ceremony, some to receive this strange communion here for the last time, a liturgy of songs spilled forth from the speakers in the walls of the Terrace Club sound system.
