The Dayton Visual Arts Center is seeking Interns and Volunteers for the Fall. Located in downtown Dayton, DVAC features rotating exhibits of contemporary art, professional development workshops for artists, fundraising parties and events. Volunteers must commit to: · 2-3 days a week · 2-4 hr increments · Minimum 3 month commitment We are seeking Interns and Volunteers that have an enthusiasm for contemporary art and are willing to work in the following areas: · General office (filing, phones, Excel, Indesign, powerpoint/presi experience a plus) · Website and Social Media Management (DVAC website, Facebook and twitter updates, blog content) · Art Installation (exhibitions and annual ARTTOBUY Holiday Gift Gallery Events) · ARTTOBUY Holiday Gift Gallery Marketing & Sales (November & December) · Opening receptions, workshop assistance, offsite parties Benefits include: · Being part of the art community · Letter of recommendation · Project completion for your professional portfolio and for-credit option arranged with your professor/teacher If interested, send attached form along with a cover letter and resume.
