The Delhi Development Authority has around 10,000 acre of green belt under it. It totally relies on borewells for watering them. According to the DDA, it requires over 2,024 gallons of water on a daily basis to maintain one acre of green land, which means total requirement, is 2,02,40,000 gallons of water for the purposes. According to Delhi Jal Board, in Delhi an individual needs 50 gallons per day.
