The Diary Of Black Men Hits the MPAC Stage! Montgomery welcomes the stage play of the year, The Diary of Black Men, on January 16, 2015 at 7:00PM. This performance, starring Tommy Ford and Carl Payne, is a mortality play laced with comedy, and a lot of talk about manhood from a black man’s prospective The play attempts to answer the question through a series of vignettes and scenarios examining the relationships between Black men and women using six male stereotypes; two of which include a Hip-Hop Revolutionist played by Tommy Ford of “Harlem Nights” and Martin fame and the Blue Collar Working Class Man portrayed by Carl Payne. Payne has starred in several TV series such as “The Crosby Show”, “The Game”, and “The Martin Show”.
