The Dynastic period in KMT began, by conservative estimates - TopicsExpress

The Dynastic period in KMT began, by conservative estimates roughly in 3200 BCE (Egyptologists like William Matthew Flanders Petrie posited that the date was as far back as 5600 BCE). The Nubian civilization of Ta-seti has been said to predate KMT and the Kushite empires have been said to be even older than Ta-seti. Pre-dynastic KMT is an area of study that we still dont much about as we need to. Obviously, the flooding of the area around what is now called Lake Nasser (created after the construction of the Aswan dam) has probably destroyed tens of thousands of years of classical African history . Who knows what is laying at the bottom of that lake? What most scholars do agree on however is that the crew that won the battles that lead to the unification of the Upper and Lower lands of KMT that sparked the Dynastic Age was headed up by a man named Narmer (sometimes called Menes). He was known as the Great Uniter His story is retold on a stone tablet, called the Narmer Palette. The sculpture below is said to be Narmer. This most ancient ancestor sure had those strong African features, didnt he? That nose? Those ears? Those lips? This sculpture and the Palette are in the permanent exhibit at the Cairo Museum. Diop gave an excellent run down in African origins of Civilization, which we read last month....Restoring our history, brick by brick.
