The East Asia Inter-Regional Tourism Forum - EATOF for short - will convene in Kuching from the 4th - 6th September. This will be the forums 14th General Assembly. The following is an extract from eatof.org Regional integration and cooperation is often abstract and diplomatically difficult issue without understanding of culture, customs and the region per se. Tourism, however, provides easier understanding of culture and history and opportunities to gain exponential economic profits, ultimately contributing to regional integration and cooperation. And so, the EATOF Food Fair - YES!:-) - is a fine example of substantiating the EATOF concept. Eight (8) member provinces of the respective countries will showcase their regional cuisine from 4 - 7 September.
