The Eyes Have It! by Rick Chaboudy He came to us on November 7th, 2014 from Pasco County Animal Services. He basically had no fur and his skin was itchy and scabby. He suffered from secondary infections that were starting to become life threatening due to being left untreated. But it was his eyes that got to us. His eyes appeared to be non-existent. But below the scabs, pus and goo, we found them. After specialized treatment from Dr. Pola at Enterprise Road Animal Hospital and subsequent care by his foster family, his eyes healed, although there will always be some scarring. After posting a Facebook story about Keelys improvement and showing pictures of Keelys eyes before and after, Keelys eyes caught the eye of someone else. Mike took one look into Keelys eyes and told his wife, Angie, we have to make this dog ours. After a very successful meet and greet with their dog Stymie, they took Keely home to foster and to see how he did with their cat Darla. Less than a week later, on Christmas Eve, they made Keely an official member of their family. Merry Christmas Keely and Merry Christmas Angie, Mike, Stymie and Darla. You are all one big gift to each other! And Merry Christmas to all who gave on Keelys behalf to get him healthy again. These photos are your gifts for your generosity!
