The Farm Bill is being debated in Washington with House Republicans submitting a plan to phase out $40+ billion from the food stamp program over the next 10 years. (More than 914,000 Alabamians are now on food stamps, a 61% jump since 2008.) This would be achieved by curtailing benefits for some and restricting eligibility. Obama and the Democrats oppose this despite the fact that the food stamp program has grown nearly 50% since 2009. How do you stand on this issue?
