The Federal Government already endorsed Christianity and deemed this a Christian Nation in an 1896 Supreme Court decision. So, Obama was once again wrong as he ignored history when he claimed otherwise. No one says you have to be a Christian, having God mentioned doesnt force God on anyone because an individual has the right and the ability to ignore it. You want to make the argument that mentions of God or use of the bible on public grounds is an affront to your rights then I say you must be pretty weak minded so much so that you cant walk away and go about your business. No one forces you to participate and this is a free country where you can believe what you choose to believe. No one is trying to change your beliefs so stop trying to change the beliefs of those around you. Clearly if its mentioned then its the majority ideology of that environment, dont like it? Tough, move along because its not your constitutional right to force minority rule. Separation of Church and State is exactly that. Our government will not be ruled or interfered with by a church or specific religion. That is ALL it means! It does not mean separation of Faith and State.. BIG difference.. Oh and the hypocrisy of the ACLU, prayer By The President, a Christian prayer mind you, was perfectly acceptable at a Federal Medal of Honor ceremony, but a Sherif cannot hold public prayer on his or department land? Get a life ACLU.
