The Fellowship of the Holy Spirit (John 14:16 NKJV) And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever. The Holy Spirit should be a companion to the New Creation. Jesus had promised that He would pray for the heavenly Father to send the Holy Spirit. On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came to abide for ever. All the New Creation has to do is receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Every believer has a measure of the Spirit that came as a result of the new birth experience. However, there is a subsequent in-filling of the Holy Spirit that every believer needs for victorious living. The in-filling of the Holy Spirit is to be received by faith. You dont have to tarry for it. You dont have to beg the Father for it. All you have to do is receive what the Father has already given by faith. The word comforter means advocate, intercession, standby, counselor, helper. He is called alongside to help. Jesus said He would not leave us as orphans, He has come to us in the person of the Holy Spirit. Everything Jesus was to the disciples, the Holy Spirit will be to the New Creation. Employ the ministry of the Holy Spirit. Do not live as an orphan. Dont act like one who is alone. Receive strength. Walk in power. Enjoy victory. Be all you were recreated to be.
