The First Feast of the Queen of the Apostles celebrated in Piazza Venezzia- Rome The Sri Lankan community at Piazza Venezzia, Rome celebrated recently the feast of the Queen of the Apostles with Rev. Mons. Neville Joe Perera, the National coordinator for Sri Lankan migrants in Italy together with 15 other priests. The trilingual concelebrated festive high Mass was presided over by Rev. Mons. Neville Joe Perera, lifting the prayers of over five hundred worshipers who gathered for the occasion. Rev. Mons. Neville Joe Perera, in his homily, shared his joy of having dedicated all three communities in Rome in the name of Mother Mary and her maternal love. He also gifted a Marian statue filled with sacred soil from the sacred shrine of our Lady of Madhu, Sri Lanka. Soon after the Holy Mass, the newly consecrated beautifully decorated statue of the queen of the apostles was taken on a procession as a sign of gratitude for her heavenly love experienced. This great day of worship was organized by the community at Piazza Venezzia, Rome together with Fr. Tharanga Hemal and Fr. Prasad Harshan.
