The Firth of Forth is an area of special scientific interest, - TopicsExpress

The Firth of Forth is an area of special scientific interest, which has seen over the past few years a rise in marine and birdlife living along the coasts and in the water. This has been largely due to the reduction of dock works that the numbers have been steadily rising. The proposals by Cluff Resources and Thornton Energy and Riverside to build a huge processing plant in Fife and set fire to coal under the Forth( the area ear marked stretches from Portobello/ Musselburgh/ Prestonpans across to Kirckaldy up to Elie) would be the first of its kind in the UK. Now anyone who has looked into this type of industry in other parts of the world where its been tried out, realises its got a terrible track record. The list is endless as to why we cant be used as guinea pigs for another assault on Scotland, we cant be used as a trial area for the few to get their hands on profit at the expense of so many. This area, alongside the other areas at threat from forms of Unconventional Gas extraction could be destroyed if these plans get the go ahead. Please read and share! Via Hands off our Scotland
