The Four branches of the British Armed Forces are the Army, the Royal Navy, the Royal Marines and the Royal Air Force. These branches include serving and Veterans (Vets). Some confusion exists however amongst some Vets, those who are Has beens and those who Never weres. This later group consists mostly of people who were civilian crew members on cruise liners that served as troop transporters, but never served in the Forces. They should NOT be confused with members of the Merchant Navy who serve on RFA (Royal Fleet Auxiliary) vessels who are integral to all Royal Navy operations.
