The Fourth of July is a perfect time to realize, once again and perhaps, for one of the last times I will say this, that if you dont care for my politics, or my posts with regard to the current president and the goings-on in our country, do yourself and me a big favor. Unfriend me. I truly do not care, anymore. It has become progressively and pervasively worse in six years. I dont intend to cease. I dont intend to sugar-coat my writing or my posts here in this social media forum. America will be 238 years old tomorrow, young for any country in terms of history. Things are not good or getting better in our country. The media has fallen far short of its job as watchdog and guardian of the news and, certainly, the truth. The First Amendment to the Constitution is under assault along with our rule of law, in general. Shredding of that rule of law and corruption abound. Each day, each week, were met with yet another egregious and outrageous story of the erosion of the separation of powers provided for by our founders. During the Revolutionary War, believe it or not, only 3% of the colonists chose to fight the tyranny of the British from whom we sought our independence. That seems like a small number, and it is. But it was an essential number, and one for which we should all be grateful. I choose to be part of the percentage of Americans who want to keep that freedom.
