The Freedom Pro Baseball league team loses a stadium. The Phoenix Prospectors are homeless. The league commented on the situation with a simple statement as " We were not able to use Phoenix Municipal for games this year. Those games have been added throughout the schedule at other stadiums as doubleheaders or single games." This is a big set back as the Freedom League looked like it was going in the right direction, when the FPBL included the Pacific Association of Professional Baseball Clubs into their 2013 season. The addition of the Pacific league meant more games and a larger fan base as well as added media attention. The FPBL also added a mascot to just one team the Montezuma Federals, Zuma the Federals bird has made a few public appearances and been seen at Roughrider Field but no other team have yet to release any mascots yet. With the FPBL entering just their third week of play and losing one stadium its not a good sign for the league. The FBPL is still not posting stats on Pointstreak or its won web site this season. If the stats are not posted then mlb scouts can not see how players are doing and players will not get drafted. Getting players drafted is how the league makes its money and tempts rookie players to play in independent leagues like the FBPL. What does all this mean... not a lot remember last season the FPBL was locked out of the stadium for a few games and canceled the playoffs but the league came back. This season the FPBL changed their spring league twice! Good luck Freedom Pro Baseball League!
