Please join us at our next meeting. All of our meetings are free and open to the public. Saturday, January 10, 2015 – 11 a.m. Mount Clemens Public Library 150 Cass Ave., Mount Clemens, MI 48043 After brief business, we will be showing the movie, Un Rève American or An American Dream, by Bruno Boulianne and Claude Godbout. > “Damien Robitaille, a Franco-Ontarian musician, reveals the extraordinary story of thousands of French Canadians across the United States. Rolling from New York to Los Angeles, passing through New England, Michigan, the Midwest and the mythical West, it brings to life the great episodes of their exodus. He unearths this paradoxical society, almost imaginary dissolved in American space, but still alive. With endearing meetings Damien and holders memory places he travels, we discover the many facets of a French-Canadian diaspora three centuries old. It now has over 11 million people, a larger number of descendants of French Canadians across Canada. 92 minutes.” Preview at > vimeo/83797588 For future FCHSM meetings, please see our meetings page > habitantheritage.org/fchsm_meetings
