The George Zimmerman verdict merely highlights the racial injustice that should be so blatantly apparent in our criminal justice system. There is not the same standard of justice in the country. If anything positive came out of these events, hopefully it will be this realization by the American public. On another note, "stand your ground laws" should all be appealed in a rational, developed nation. Vigilante justice may have been seen as "ok" in the time of white hoods and and lynchings, it is something that we should have moved beyond by 2013.
