The Ghost on the Coast is Sandys favorite American tournament and she returned again this year even though she had to pass on a ADO National Playoff for the 2015 World Cup team to do so. The event got off to a somber start with the news of the passing of her Mother-in-law who had been battling complications of Dementia for some time . She entered the Blind Draw on Friday and finished with a Top 32 in the largest event in American dart history, with 402 players they easily broke their own record from 2013 as this event gets bigger each year. Saturday morning she teamed up with Brian Blake and made a nice run to the Finals Stage, affectionately named The Graveyard, before losing to Mark Fair and L-Style teammate Mellisa Pryor in Mixed Doubles Cricket. She would again meet Melissa in the Ladies Cricket Singles but lost a tough match in the Semi-Finals. Sandy would then team up with fellow Kryptonite Girl, Candra Archbold, to win Ladies Doubles Cricket. They topped Debbie Burch and fellow K-Girl Candi Ellis in the Finals. The large crowd on hand began to back up the tournament and Mixed Triples got off to a very late start. Sandy would team up with Brian Blake and Mark Fair to win the event which ended at 5 AM Sunday morning. She also won the costume contest for the 3rd straight year. Sundays first event would come early and with very little sleep she wasnt on her game all day. She was beaten in the early rounds in Mixed Doubles 501 and Ladies Doubles 501. She grew more tired as the day went on and finished up losing to yet another K-Girl, Sandy Haas in 501 Singles, finishing Top 8. Sandy has great sponsors and she wishes to thank Winmau, L-Style, Spider Tech, Flying Bull and Kryptonite Darts for their incredible support. For more information visit sandysdarts.
