The Giants have won a total of eight titles in the NFL, four in the pre-Super Bowl (1927, 1934, 1938, 1956), and four since the arrival of the Super Bowl (XXII in 1986, XXV in 1990, XLII in 2007 and XLVI in 2011). In their history the Giants have had 15 players in the Hall of Fame, including the most valuable players in the NFL (MVP) Mel Hein, Frank Gifford, Charlie Conerly, YA Tittle, and Lawrence Taylor. To distinguish the professional baseball team of the same name, refers to the computer name as the New York football Giants.
