The Gig Slut took it easy going to The Old Queens Head in no rush,thinking Id miseed Emily Lee anyway,saying hello to Gabriella Chloe Sonabend and Sol outside. I popped upstairs to find Emily Lee playing ! Altered times and all that. Sounded good for the half set I got.Mr Andy Barnes and John E. were there,too. Then Gabriella Chloe - Lylah Tov played a solo set,no Harriet Aphrodite :( A lovely set here,as well. I missed you to say goodbye,Gabi x Paolo Fornasari had turned up at some point and I was introduced to Stephanie OBrien, and her assistant Maddy,or Steph said hello to me ! Whichever. She played a good little set on electric guitar and also violin. So 3 good artists all in a row. Andy and I then departed after I said goodbye to Chris Lostinthemanor,Monika,and Julian. We made our way down to Angel with Andy buying some of the most expensive chips ever,about 50p each,I reckon.All 6 of them.We grabbed a 214 bus after Id recovered,and made our way to the next excellent gig,put on by Mrs Ruth Barnes and The Local at The Ace Hotel. It looked better than usual,tables and chairs etc like a nightclub,except that The Mrs was there.Mrs F,that is. It was running on time ! We first heard Dear Pariah. Charlie on guitar,Hannah on Cello and Rob on drums. A very nice brand of music here-ethereal folk, Check em out. Next was The Drink ,now Dearbhla M here has a really good style of guitar playing which Ive only seen played by one other person, I prefer her one. Red hot. This set rattled along just fine -loved it.Check them out,too. Wed saved a seat for Paolo,who was there,and Davide Ghiretti spotted me. I just had time for a few words with Dearbhla , Ruth , Charlie and Hannah,and so extra nice to see Shah Moan there ,too xx On a Sunday the Underground finishes early,and not trains this night were not so frequent from Waterloo. I decided at 23.05 to run to Old Street,going to Bank/Monument,and getting a District line to Hammersmith. The last Richmond train was late,so I went for a 23.50 190 bus which never appeared,so took the 391 which got me to Richmond in time for an R70.This was ok.Sunday night is freegan shopping night ,except some dubious character ( apart from me ) was hanging about . I think he thought I was official and left in a car. I had lost time,and he may have taken the best but I grabbed a bag of pastries for Kasim Aly-khan and Darren King,and Benjamin Dean Dobson tomorrow,and headed back to the bus stop . It was R68,Pete,and then saw All The Way R68 Angie Angela Mcgraw going the other way ,as only she can do .235 we guessed ? Home 00.55
