The Gospel Lesson yesterday was the Walk on the road to Emmaus. The past couple of weeks Fr. Dale has gone to great extremes to point out how the Gospels talk about the struggle of faith the disciples had since the crucifixtion. (and consequently the struggles with faith that we have --- this has been very reassuring) [see Dale I wasnt sleeping] This was true yesterday as the two disciples were walking toward Emmaus and Jesus joins them. They didnt recognize Him. Mary didnt recognize Jesus in the garden and it got me thinking how many times have I missed Jesus... Lord have mercy on me a sinner ...
