The Gospel of God is not simply true because I experience something in it. Gods existence is not caused simply because I believe or make a free-will choice to believe. Gods grace is both subjectively and objectively real and true - God demonstrated his love towards us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for the ungodly - we are objectively ungodly (take a second to consider these words and their truthfulness to your actual self: I am a sinner. Not just we are sinners but I am a sinner against God. My ancestor is Adam and so because of his sin, I am born as a sinner. Also, I break Gods law very much. I am already condemned.) and God is objectively sovereign and sovereignly loving (take a second to consider these words and their truthfulness to your actual self: 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. 19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. 20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. 21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.” (John 3:17-20)) Yes we make real choices but also yes the sinner is in bondage to sin needing grace to be set free. Ask God for this grace right now. I am affirming that our will is not as free as we may be tempted to think, in the way that is commonly talked about, being well recognized as the idol of free will - because of sin - unless Gods Spirit has set you free and that you believe in the one the Father sent and repent of sins - not as if you save yourself, not that repentance is a meritoriously good work that makes you better than the guy next to you who does not repent, but trust in Gods mercy through Jesus. Dont dismiss the offense but know that the message of the cross is foolish to the world and offensive to the Jews, but to those who are being saved by it, it is the power of God. I need this preached to me also. Come quickly Lord Jesus! Amen.
