The Grand Budapest Hotel is such a treat!! I real sweet break from all the superhero movies (which I also love) and the usual Hollywood fare. The writing is genuinely intelligent, poetic and equal pleasure to the visual smorgasbord that Wes Anderson directs. The actors were almost all familiar and yet -no matter how many times Ive seen Jason Swartzman or Bill Murray in Wes Anderson movies- I still am happy to see them in character on screen, like welcoming old friends. I will definitely see this one again. Next on the list: NOAH! Although it got high marks on metacritic, I did see something about a giant rock monster with glowing eyes. Hmm? Dont really recall that in the Old Testament. But then nothing is impossible with God, right? Oh well, still going to see it.
