The Great Tissue Paper Chase Before now, I never appreciated the number of choices one must consider when buying bathroom tissue, quilted, not quilted, single-ply, two-ply, scented, pastel colors, ultra soft, ultra strong… and the list of options goes on and on. As a single man, I would simply grab whichever paper was on the end of the rack or whatever was on sale, and never had a second thought about it, but now that I am shopping for the family, three of which are sensitive females, I am putting a lot more thought into my tp selections. “I can’t use the extra strong paper”, she said. “It’s too rough!” But, dear, it comes in one thousand sheet rolls and it wont tear in the middle of the job like those fru-fru tissues do! “Then why don’t you just buy sand paper next time?” Yes dear, I’ll get the fru-fru-scented-pastel-extra-soft-double-ply, next time. My apologies to our hardy ancestors who moved up in the world the day the first Sears-Roebuck catalog arrived.
