The HCPSS Strategic Reading classes earlier this summer were selected as a recipient of the National Literacy Achievement Award. The goal of Strategic Reading is to support students in becoming functional readers across all content areas as a basis for moving toward reading proficiency. Each year, Achieve3000 hand-selects a few districts and schools across the country whose students have demonstrated exemplary usage and significant reading improvement. The top three achieving schools were Long Reach HS, Mt. Hebron HS and Reservoir HS. Congratulations!
