The Health and Safety Executive for Northern Ireland (HSENI) has a small dedicated team who can provide a FREE and CONFIDENTIAL service to facilitate a work-related stress/mental wellbeing risk assessment. The team uses the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) management standards approach within organisations. These standards focus on organisational level issues rather than individual cases and identify six key areas of work: • demands • control • support • relationships • role • change If managed correctly, these areas can reflect a high level of good mental health, wellbeing and organisational performance. However, if not managed properly, they can lead to excessive pressures in the workplace. While HSENI’s mental wellbeing at work advisors have no enforcement role, they can provide free advice, guidance and practical help towards eliminating, reducing and controlling stress in the workplace. Advisors are fully trained in the delivery of stress management programs and will assist your organisation through every step of the risk assessment process To find out more about how HSENI can help your organisation manage work related stress and mental wellbeing visit: hseni.gov.uk/stress
