The Highways Agency is urging caravan and trailer owners to carry out simple checks to their equipment before leaving home to help cut down on the number of towing related incidents across the country. Between July and September last year there were 397 reported incidents in Yorkshire, Humber and the North East and 227 in East Midlands causing delays and distress to other road users.
