The Holy Ghost isnt a feeling. Hes a person. This is the reason I dont agree with people coming in church just searching for a feeling as opposed to searching for an experience. We are an overly sensual generation. We look for a feeling to justify everything that we partake of. We honestly should come into the sanctuary chasing after the will of The Father together with our brothers and sisters in Christ. Coming in with your arms folded expecting someone to impress you just isnt going to fill that void. Bring your praise in with you. Bring your expectation of the extraordinary. Bring your tithes and an offering. Bring someone that you know needs Jesus with you (friend or enemy). Bring your hurts and your pain to lay at the feet of Jesus. Bring your sickness and your shame so that He can heal and remove it. Bring something to the table other than your desire for a quick pick me up or a justification for how your life is going or why the people in your life are treating you like they do. The Holy Ghost desires to complete you, to make you holy, to make your life reflect the righteousness that Christ has extended to you. You can run, roll, shout, buck, and fall down if you please (all of that is fine), but the real Holy Ghost comes to teach and to correct. His function provokes you to grow and to mature. I dont care how cold your shout is, if you have the Holy Ghost then your life and ministry should provoke change in others. IM NOT PERFECT, but I grow daily because Ive been graced with the power of the Holy Ghost. I dont want to be justified, I want to be delivered. What about you?
